Dutch company is highly rated in top 500

Q.I. Press Controls achieves 123rd place in Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA fastest growing technology companies

Oosterhout, The Netherlands 2005 – With fitting pride, Q.I. Press Controls reports that on 1 December it was acknowledged that the company is ranked in 123rd place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, the top 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The rankings are based on growth in turnover during the period from 2000 to 2004 inclusive. Q.I. Press Controls grew on average 679% during this period.

Since its establishment in 1996, Q.I. Press Controls has developed and sold innovative measurement and control systems for printing presses, to improve the quality of colour printing in newspapers and periodicals. The total turnover in 2004 was €10.3 million

The strength of the company is in the people that work there. “We have become a market leader in the newspaper industry because we have listened properly to our clients.” explains CEO Menno Jansen. The extensive Research & Development team has thrown all traditional points of departure overboard and is designing the current products from the viewpoint of the client’s requirements. With this lead over the competition, the sales team has actively approached our clients and introduced the innovative products to them. By maintaining close contacts, thinking along with and advising clients, whilst keeping the machines and the possibilities of the client as the starting point, enormous successes have been achieved.

The new IDS density measurement and control system is a technological breakthrough in the market, whereby the IDS has been designed on a totally different principle than competing systems. The IDS simply measures the colour values in the printed image and compares them with the colours of the reference image of what the client requires. Thanks to this principle, printed reference colours or other reference marks have become superfluous and the colours remain identical. It no longer matters which printer is running the press, which press is used or at which location it is printed.
