Q.I. Press Controls with new born heatset weboffset register system on IPEX Birmingham-UK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

For the latest generation heatset weboffset presses Q.I. Press Controls will launch her new born highspeed Intelligent Register System color register-, cut-off register and ribbon control system at the coming IPEX exhibition in Birmingham UK (09.04.2002 - 17.04.2002).

Since Q.I. Press Controls developers were very successful with color- and cut-off register system in highspeed single- and double width fullcolour coldset weboffset printing, the Intelligent Register System register control system is tuned now for a highspeed fullcolour heatset version. That new Intelligent Register System heatset register control version is fully based upon the well-experienced Intelligent Register System technology with many applications in the European coldset printing industry. After the first successful Intelligent Register System-installations on new generation heatset presses, the reported paper-savings and high quality print-register were striking. Now Q.I. Press Controls is ready to launch the Intelligent Register System fullcolour register control system officially for the heatset weboffset printing industry!

The Intelligent Register System heatset weboffset cut-off and fullcolour register system is characterised by some cutting edge features like the application of very tiny- and almost invisible control marks on the printed web, perfectly detected by a high resolution CCD-camera on top- and bottom side of the web. These marks will save paper because they don't need specific white gutters on the printed web (important for narrow-gap and sleeve-heatsetpresses). In magazine products these marks can be put inside editorial pages. Next to that, for high accuracy operating reasons, the top and bottom CCD-camera's can operate on any heatset press directly after the last printed color and in front of the dryer. Those without specific carrier rollers (see attached picture). Therefore the Intelligent Register System register-system can operate with very short reaction cycles, giving the right performance for automated starting heatset presses within very short waste-limits where color register is concerned.

Q.I. Press Controls demonstrates the new system in her IPEX-booth for any interested heatset printer and print managers looking for waste-saving and quality improvement. Come and see the newborn automatic Intelligent Register System fullcolour register system for weboffset presses on IPEX in the same hall as KBA and Müller Martini: Hall 12 - Booth 409
