VTT’s Komori System 38 will be fitted with five IRS CCD
cameras and the automatic cut off register system. The webs are
also equipped with automatic side lay control.
With the installation of the IRS system on the Kumori press, Q.
I. Press Controls makes a big move in the right direction.
The Swedish graphic industry likes to work with Komori presses.
And that goes for both sheetfed and heatset web-offset presses.
Komori is seen as an eco-friendly company on account of its Japanese
roots. The Komori System 38 is a much coveted single-width 16
page heatset web-offset press used for magazine printing as well
as every other type of web-offset printing.
So it is hardly surprising that VTT Grafiska AB in Vimmerby has
opted for this system.
VTT Grafiska AB is a commercial printing firm that employs a workforce
of 70 people.
John Petersen, general manager VTT, emphasizes the importance
of going along with the growing heatsetmarket.
That is why VTT has now invested in a state-of-the-art Komori
System 38 – a 16-page heatset web-offset press with a top
production speed of 60,000 copies per hour. “But production
speed isn’t the only thing that matters,” says John
Petersen. “Above all we also wanted to be able to switch
from one order to another and achieve perfect colour register
as quickly as possible, given that the company itself always has
to bear the cost of the excess paper and time it uses.
Q.I. Press Controls responds to this and convinced both VTT Grafiska
Ab and Komori of it’s IRS colour register systems which
are installed successfully worldwide.
IRS improves the press quality and at the same time reduces waste.
