Oosterhout, março 2011 The relationship between Druckerei Vetters and Q.I. Press Controls goes back more then ten years, when Drukkerei Vetters first invested in Q.I. Press Controls’ IRS automatic colour register system for their Zirkon Supra press. By ordering Q.I. Press Controls’ solutions for their forth press, Vetters confirms they are still convinced of the added value of both the company and its products. The new order is for mRC+ with register marks to automatically control colour and cut-off register and for IDS automatic colour control on an existing manroland OCTOMAN.

The IRS first proved itself on the Zirkon press in 2001 and many installations followed: the equipment of the remaining towers of the Zirkon press with IRS in 2003 and 2008, the installation of IRS and IDS on the manroland POLYMAN in 2007 and 2008 and the equipment of the manroland ROTOMAN with IDS and mRC in 2009. Next in line is the manroland OCTOMAN. This press consisting of five units and a folder will also be equipped with mRC+ and IDS.

The relationship between Vetters and Q.I. Press Controls is more than just a customer-supplier relation. Vetters was kept informed about the developments on the IDS from the start and they were one of the first to install the system on their manroland POLYMAN. As then Mr. Gerd Helwig, Technical Manager of Druckerei Vetters is still very enthusiastic about Q.I. Press Controls’ solutions: “Our past experience learns that the IDS enables us to make huge savings in terms of time and materials during the start-up phase of the press. Far greater than we expected! And since we no longer have to go through the process of printing this paper we are also saving a great deal of time. The total investment in Q.I. Press Controls’ solutions made us far more competitive.” He continues: “Besides having great faith in the products, we are also extremely impressed with the organisation and its service over the years.”

Druckerei Vetters, established in 1949, is a full-service printing company with heatset and sheet-fed presses, operating in the commercial market for printed matter. It is a family-owned enterprise under the management of Mr Jürgen Vetters. The company is certified to ISO 12647-2 for all departments.
