- Stark Druck is the first printing company in Germany that has invested
in a 96-page press. The Goss Sunday 5000 press will be installed later
this year at their printing facility in Pforzheim. Q.I. Press Controls
is very proud to be part of this significant project by automating this
press with its full range of innovative press control systems.
The order placed by Goss is for the mRC + with micro marks to
automatically control both colour- and cut-off register, the automatic
colour density control system (IDS) and the fan-out control system
(ABD). In order to be able to analyse and improve the production process
Stark Druck will also start working with Q.I. Press Controls’
management information system IQM.
In about 60 years Stark Druck has grown into one of the largest print
companies in Germany. They employ about 380 employees divided over the
three companies of the Stark Group: Stark Druck, Stark Digital and Stark
Brillant. They provide a high value, high quality product and
consequently they are FSC and ISO certified. “We have visited the head
office of Q.I. Press Controls in the Netherlands as well as the printing
site of one of their customers in Germany to get a good impression of
the products in full operation. We were impressed with what we saw and
this convinced us that this was the right decision,” states Mr. Wormitt,
Director of Stark Druck.
“It will be the first time our solutions will be controlling a 96-page
press. For us this will be a great opportunity to once again show the
proven technology of our products and now on such a large scale. It
will offer us a good reference site on which we can demonstrate the
benefits of the systems. We are proud to being part of this project,”
states Erik van Holten, chairman of Q.I. Press Controls.
