MPD Alexandria - Australia again favoured Q.I. Press Controls

Oosterhout, December 2010 Q.I. Press Controls’ customer MPD expanded its newspaper pressline several times. Years ago MPD became a global production partner and is a successful printer of the ‘Financial Times’, Australian edition; one of the 24 sites around the world to print this prestigious daily.

MPD’s first IRS automatic colour register system was commissioned in 2006. In 2007 MPD expanded Q.I. Press Controls’ IRS and now they need extra colour register capacity on its current Tensor pressline. MPD’s quality-upgrade program comprises the complete press configuration, consisting of two folders and five 4-high full colour printing towers; the three latest ones from Tensor. Although Q.I. Press Controls’ total IRS-configuration of ten camera’s is installed over a period of five years now, the extension is fully integrated in the existing IRS system and is operating as effective as ever before!

Besides quite a long cooperation between MPD Alexandria and Q.I. Press Controls, the same goes for the relation between the latter mentioned and Tensor. MPD reports striking profits with increase in sales and a remarkable reduction in wastage.

Intelligent register control has been one the core products in Q.I. Press Controls’ successful development during fifteen years of intensive business in the printing industry. The first IRS colour register systems still runs in practice; just a proof of long life durability. Thousands of Q.I. Press Controls’ automatic colour control systems are controlling newspapers’ and magazines’ colour register quality very accurately worldwide.
