- Casi ocho años después de haber comenzado a investigar el control de color en bucle cerrado, el New York Times (NYT) se ha embarcado en una importante actualización de sus rotativas para desplegar la tecnología. El editor firmó un acuerdo con Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC), con sede en los Países Bajos, en mayo para suministrar 64 cámaras IDS-3D con el fin de mejorar el control de color y de registro en siete rotativas Goss Colorliner en su planta de producción de College Point. La planta alberga siete plegadoras e incluye la Colorliner 85 que el editor instaló en el 2008. Esa rotativa tiene 12 torres de color y dos plegadoras, que NYT utiliza como dos rotativas.

- Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC), the Dutch specialist in measurement and control systems for the printing industry, already had an active presence on several continents worldwide. From India to Colombia and from Egypt to the United States, printing companies all over the world have been taking advantage of the innovative solutions offered by the Oosterhout-based company. However, QIPC has now acquired a key client just 31 km down the road from its head office: Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. De Jong. The company’s printing plant in ‘neighbouring’ Baarle-Nassau has recently had one of its eight presses installed with QIPC’s fully automated press control system. Drukkerij Em. – Update: Q.I. Press Controls received an expansion order from Baghdad, Iraq. The Iraqi Media Network (IMN) ordered four mRC+ colour register camera’s with ink mist shields. The colour register system will be installed on IMN’s KBA Comet printing press on two additional towers. This is the second order placed by the group and is an expansion of the already present Q.I. Press Controls’ system. IMN is a news and entertainment group funded by the government of USA that transmits the value of transparency. The printing division of the group publishes the Al-Sabah (‘morning’) newspaper and several magazines.

Newsprinters comprises three divisions: Broxbourne, Knowsley and Eurocentral. Beijing Daily es una imprenta de Pekín que actualmente está dirigiendo su producción hacia el campo de la producción de prensa con rotativas de secado al frío. Mediante una estrategia de reposicionamiento, Beijing Daily desea destacar en el mercado local de rotativas offset de bobina de secado al calor para productos comerciales. Con este fin optó por una rotativa offset de bobina Goss de 32 páginas, equipada con horno de secado y plegadora, capaz de producir 32 páginas a todo color impresas a doble cara en hojas plegadas o 16 páginas dos veces.

 – Tras la gran inversión de finales de 2009 en un sistema totalmente automatizado, Coldset Printing Partners ha vuelto a realizar un pedido a Q.I. Press Controls. En esta ocasión, se someterá a una actualización completa a la KBA Commander de 12 torres ubicada en la planta de impresión de Paal-Beringen, en el nordeste de Bélgica. Este segundo sistema totalmente automatizado estará compuesto por 56 escáneres mRC para el registro de color y el registro de corte, 24 escáneres IDS para el control del color de bucle cerrado con marcas invisibles según la norma ISO 12647-3 estándar e IQM para una elaboración de informes de calidad y una indicación del rendimiento avanzadas.
