Compañia Editorial Ultra invests in the latest QIPC register technology to maximise performance and reliability

Oosterhout, February 2026 – Compañia Editorial Ultra, part of the fourth-generation family-owned Grupo Espinosa and one of Mexico’s most prominent publishing companies, has upgraded its QIPC register system to the latest generation. This modernisation reflects the groups ongoing commitment to production stability, innovation and high-quality printing technology.

A strong publishing legacy within Grupo Espinosa
Founded in 1952, Grupo Espinosa has grown over four generations into one of Mexico’s leading printing companies. Over the decades, the group expanded into publishing and continued to strengthen its position as a key supplier to the national publishing sector.

With more than 70 years of experience, Grupo Espinosa is recognised for its high-quality printing and finishing services for both the Mexican and international markets. As one of the group’s core companies, Compañia Editorial Ultra builds on this strong heritage, combining the family-owned group’s expertise with its own prominent role in the publishing industry.

Grupo Espinosa consists of two companies — Litografica Ingramex and Compañia Editorial Ultra, offering a full range of services from prepress to offset and digital printing, finishing and bindery.

Why the QIPC system was upgradedThe original QIPC register system, installed in 2009 on the KBA Comet press, consistently proved its value throughout many years of operation. In 2025, Compañia Editorial Ultra chose to implement a complete upgrade with the latest mRC-3D register and cut-off technology, based on the company’s long-term positive experience with QIPC systems.

Victor Martinez, Operations Manager of Grupa Espinosa-Ultra, indicates: “Our long-running experience with QIPC has shown us how significantly the technology contributes to stable and reliable production.”

The decision was strongly influenced by the availability of Spanish-language web support and immediate remote assistance. This service level provided a clear advantage over the QTI systems operating on other Goss and KBA presses within the company. QIPC’s remote support repeatedly resolved issues within 24 hours, ensuring production continuity and minimising downtime.

He adds: “The rapid response times and the consistency of QIPC’s remote service were decisive. It gives us the reliability we need to meet our deadlines.” This combination of proven performance, advanced technology and rapid support made the newest QIPC system the optimal choice for the future of Compañia Editorial Ultra’s printing operations.

Continuous investment in quality
By implementing this upgrade, Compañia Editorial Ultra reinforces its position as one of the leading publishing printers in Mexico and underlines its ongoing commitment to technologies that enhance production stability and deliver consistently high-quality results.
